about maggie

With a deep-rooted passion for early childhood education, Maggie has dedicated her career to empowering leaders in the early learning field. Beginning her professional journey in special education, she spent time working within a school district, where she gained firsthand experience in navigating the complexities of educational leadership. Motivated by a desire to create a meaningful impact, Maggie transitioned into early childhood care, owning and operating childcare centers with the mission to “change the world, one child at a time  allowing every person to discover, learn, and succeed.”

During her time as a childcare center owner, Maggie developed a reputation for fostering strong, supportive leadership. She led meetings for her Directors, offering training on a variety of critical topics—from understanding different leadership styles to recognizing when it’s time to let go of emotionally expensive staff. These sessions not only helped her team become better leaders but also fostered environments where both staff and children could thrive.

Maggie holds a Master’s degree in Organizational Communication, which has equipped her with a unique perspective on how to effectively navigate the interpersonal dynamics within organizations. She brings this expertise into her coaching practice, guiding leaders in the early learning field to communicate more effectively, manage conflicts, and build cohesive teams.

coaching philosophy

  • Leadership Philosophy: Leadership is not a one-size-fits-all approach. It begins with self-awareness and the ability to adapt to the unique needs of each team and organization.
  • Focus on Early Learning: In the early learning field, where nurturing young children is crucial, we also emphasize the equal importance of nurturing the potential of the adults who lead them.
  • Empathy and Practicality: Her leadership approach blends empathy with practicality, balancing heart-centered leadership with the ability to make difficult decisions for the greater good.
  • Equipping Leaders: Grateful Chaos helps leaders inspire their teams, navigate challenges, and make tough calls with confidence and clarity.
  • Role at Grateful Chaos: At Grateful Chaos, we support leaders in thriving amidst the inevitable chaos of early childhood education.
